Railcard - Not asked to upload photo?

Hi,
I’m in the process of buying a physical disabled persons railcard (rip 16-17 saver ) but I wasn’t asked to upload a selfie at any point. Is this normal? Will my railcard be accepted by revenue staff?

Physical Disabled Railcards don't have a photo.

Perhaps because for those in a wheelchair it would be difficult or impossible to get into a photobooth at the station or in a supermarket ? For selfies taken at home it may be difficult to comply with the numerous rules and regs. Looks as if common sense has prevailed to help our disabled friends who have enough problems on the transport network.

You're looking too deeply into this. It's just in common with many other railcards (Senior, Network, for example) in not requiring a photo on a physical railcard.

There has never been a requirement for a photo for Disabled Railcards, or Senior, Network, Forces, etc.

It’s mostly because these railcards are judged to be a lower fraud risk, I think.

I was under the impression the digital disabled railcard at one point did (or still does)?

Specifically, physical railcards do not.
