Railcard minimum fare on rover tickets

Does the 16-25 railcard minimum fare apply to ranger and rover tickets?

I cannot find anything to say either way. BRFares.com doesn't mention anything on their rovers section.

Surely no Rovers cost under £12?
Not sure about Day Rangers - if no minimum is stated, then I'd assume not.
There is no minimum for Advance fares, nor on any fare in July & August.

I asked FGW on Twitter a few moments ago, they say no minimum on Ride Cornwall and Devon Day Ranger, which are the tickets I shall be using. Screenshotted and printed, ready "just in case".

I'm probably wrong, but I thought each Ranger / Rover had its own set of T&Cs as per the "Offers by TOC?" section of the National Rail Enquiries site (or TOC's own of course). I've found that, that site in conjunction with the advice posted on the "offers" threads posted by the folks on here have given me some cracking cheap days out with bags of detailed info! Hope you grab a goodun OP!

To be honest it's not something I have ever come acrosss, but the 16-25railcard website says....

"....A £12 minimum fare applies for journeys starting between 4.30am-10am Monday to Friday excluding Advance Fares. This minimum fare does not apply on Public Holidays or throughout July and August....."

In 'The Manual' there was a list of fares which the minimum fare applied to, and a list which it didn't apply to. Rovers and Rangers weren't in either list. I've never had a problem obtaining a Ride Cornwall prior to 10am with a Railcard, until on one occasion recently where it was questioned, but still issued.

If that was entirely accurate, any 16-25 Railcard holder making use of Condition 19 of the NRCoC wouldn't have to worry about individual tickets costing less than £12, providing their journey met the requirements

I was thinking more in terms of 'except Advance fares' being printed in there. I think we can accept that they were not considering split tickets when it was written.

In a similar manner, I doubt Rovers and Rangers were within their consideration either looking at the list of fares subject to the minimum fare.

Have happily used both with a railcard and can confirm that it's allowed. The RC discount is less on the Ride Cornwall due to it the bus element of the ticket, otherwise it would be reduced to £6.60 like the Devon Ranger. Enjoy!

Yes, I noticed that. Seems fair enough though.

Considering a FirstDay Cornwall is £10, paying £1.70 less but getting travel on all trains and Western Greyhound buses too is exceptional value.

Annoyingly the train from Penzance to St Ives I want to take is at 08:57 Getting all the Cornish branches done in one day and being in Plymouth before 8pm is proving to be a difficult thing to plan. Will keep me busy planning this over the Bank Holiday weekend...!

I think I worked it out that it was possible doing so starting from Exeter, although would involve sleeper one way and not getting off anyway.

I've worked out there is a bus (which is operated by a heritage bus) that connects nicely at St Ives, giving me a chance to spend 30 minutes or so in the town.

My plan changed slightly so I'm now doing the Gunnislake branch on a different day using the Devon Day Ranger.
