(bold = my emphasis)4. You must present your Railcard and Photocard whenever you purchase a discounted ticket. You must carry your Railcard and Photocard with you and when asked by rail staff, you must show a valid ticket, valid Railcard, and valid Photocard otherwise the full fare will be payable as if no Railcard and/or no ticket were held.
That's a dangerous and incorrect presumption but really there is nothing much that can be said until the letter arrives; other threads explain what could happen, but cannot be taken to indicate what will happen in your case.Thank you for your reply - I think because even when my photocard was used in the original 12 months, I was never asked to produce any other proof and therefore just continued using as before. I presumed it either lasted your term of service or autorenewed straight from your payslip.
I can't see the TOC wanting to prosecute a serving member of HM Forces. They will probably write to you and ask for your side of the story. Which train company stopped you?Thank you for your reply - I think because even when my photocard was used in the original 12 months, I was never asked to produce any other proof and therefore just continued using as before.
