Railcard discounted tickets/ starting short

Good evening
I wonder if one of the fares advisors can help me please.

I am travelling up to London tomorrow from Wokingham, via Reading, using an Any Permitted Off Peak Day Travelcard for £24.30.
If I use my Network card, this comes down to £16.05, but clearly I can not leave until Wokingham 10:00, meaning the earliest I arrive Paddington is 11:00

If I was to start my journey short at Reading, in order to get to London earlier, can I take the first train from Reading after 10:00, or do I have to wait for the train from Wokingham to get in first?

The peak/off peak cutover is clear, as this is dictated by the time you get to London, but this one is potentially more complex.

My gut feeling would be that it would come down to whether a Break of Journey was allowed on the outbound portion. If it is, then I;d reckon it would be. If not, it is probably slightly more dodgy. Hopeful someone with access to the restrictions will be along soon and offer a fuller insight

The validity code for this is C7.

Break of Journey is allowed.

The only restriction is on trains arriving in London before 10:00. So it would be valid on any train to Reading from Wokingham in the morning that doesn't terminate in London eg the 09:17 from Wokingham to Reading, and then the 09:46 from Reading to London arriving at 10:15. You could use an earlier train to Reading, but then would have to wait at Reading station.

It is also valid for starting short from Reading - the first valid train is the 09:34, due in at 10:02.

Network Railcard-discounted tickets are not valid until 1000 on Mondays - Fridays.

You can start short at Reading, after 1000, however you will need to pay separately to get to Reading first.

Thanks all for your help. So to be clear, I can purchase my Wokingham origin Travelcard, take the bus to Reading then:

If I don't use my Network card then I can use the 09:34
If I do use my Network card then I can use the 10:02

Yes. You could buy the ticket at Reading if that's easier.

Having looked all this up we are now considering going up from Winchfield on the SWML!
