Has something happened to rail cams recently? Was watching the Ipswich, Norwich and colchester diagram this afternoon and it seemed to be delayed by several hours.

There has been some lagging today, sadly this is out of our control, the only ones I saw though were lagging by 5 minutes max. If you happen to come across a diagram that is stuck or lagging more than a few minutes then please let us know either in the chat, via Facebook or Twitter or contact@railcam.org.uk and we will look into it.

Cheers.

Good evening Railcam fans.

We have had our Live Signalling Diagram team beavering away in their secret hideout, and we have a whole host of updates to fill you in on, all of which have gone live in the last couple of days.

Firstly we have taken the first steps on our move over to our new home at Bytemark Hosting by moving over the entire Live Signalling Diagram process to a dedicated server. Thus removing the need for our budget servers dotted in houses across the UK, creaking at the seams to keep our diagrams running! The diagrams have been running, without a single dropout, on test at Bytemark for over 2 weeks now, so this should drastically reduce any downtime in the future.

Several of our diagrams have had the Mark @Freightmaster treatment this week, giving them a general tidy up and making sure everything is running smoothly,

Worksop & Lincoln Area - UPDATED including the addition of the line to Spalding.
Peterborough PSB Area - UPDATED
King’s Cross PSB Area - UPDATED
Tynside IECC Area - UPDATED
York IECC Area - UPDATED General improvements and corrections, plus an entirely new 'Eaglescliffe' section
LTS Lines (LTS = London Tilbury and Southend Railway) - UPDATED and now replaces the old Barking diagram, adding lots of new sections and a number of significant improvements, with help from 92009.

The Barking and Watford mini diagrams have also been updated, to incorporate the changes in the main diagrams for those areas.

As always, we have to thank our diagram team of Preston, Tony_A, 92009 and Mark ‘Freightmaster’ for all their hard work on improvements and diagram ‘moving house’.

Following on from last nights Live Signalling Diagrams UPDATE, here is the brand new LTS Area diagrams, with thanks to my social media sidekick Cieran Jebb (92009) and Mark Rawlinson (Freightmaster).

LTS Area covers,
Fenchurch Street
Barking
Ripple Lane
Dahenham / Purfleet
Upminster / Grays
Tilbury / Pitsea
Southend / Showburyness

Which page says that? We are working on a big upgrade to the site, but that is mainly behind the scenes, so to speak. The actual look of the site shouldn't change that much.

The link i found that page on was http://www.railcam.co.uk/
The page was still there today, but I think I picked that link up from an old bookmark.
I found the main site page again through a search.

Thanks.

Good evening Railcam fans, our diagram guru Mark @Freightmaster.net has been hard at work again, and this time he has worked his magic on out North London and West London diagrams, tweaking, tidying and adding to both of the diagrams.

Mark's work on the diagrams often goes unnoticed by some of our supporters, but he is always there monitoring and fixing any little issues that appear, keeping this superb diagrams running as close to the real thing as he can possibly get it.

Another 'tweaking session' has taken place on out Live Signalling Diagrams, courtesy of Mark @Freightmaster.net and they are as follows,

Colchester Area
- Colchester Town branch redrawn the 'right way round'
- Dive-under line and Hunwick Junction redrawn - some berths moved nearer to Colchester station for clarity

Norwich Area
- Norwich station and station throat completely redrawn
- Brundall station added
- East Suffolk Junction (Ipswich) redrawn for clarity
- Both Felixstowe Freightliner terminals redrawn following
some info received from a GBRf driver!
- Manningtree Junctions/triangle redrawn so that the Harwich branch can have some 'breathing room' from the main line.

Thanks again to the diagram team for their continued hard work.
