Afternoon all,

Im currently studying the use of the initial batch of 22 railbuses in the late 50's and the subsequent reasons for why they weren't widely adopted for a dissertation. I'm ideally after a pointer towards some more detailed literature on it, or even magazine articles? I've already purchased 'BR first generation railbuses' by Evan Green-Huges and am looking to further this? Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers!

Brian Haresnape's Fleet review series (DMUs first generation) may give you some more information as it covers the original railbuses as well.

There has been some articles in railway bylines. If you e-mail irwell press they will send you a searchable index. I have most copies, so if you can find the issues, I can find the article.

DMU Compendium- Colin Boocock is a good overall guide giving info from early Railcars to Modern DMUs.

Also The British Railcar, AEC TO HST - R.M. Tufnell has lot's of info.
