DfT have revealed rail subsidies per passenger mile for 2015/2016.
https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/rail-subsidy-per-passenger-mile As usual ATW, Scotrail, LO and Merseyrail aren't included as they aren't let by DfT. Greater Anglia has seen the biggest negative change and Southern (ironically) have seen the biggest positive change. Obviously for Northern and TPE the franchises have since been re-let on reduced subsidies with the intention that TPE will move to premium paying and it won't be long before LM is re-let.
Northern 35.3p (up 1.1p)
LM 14.4p (down 2.2p)
TPE 11.4p (down 1.9p)
Southeastern 10.5p (up 1.1p)
CrossCountry 7p (down 1.3p)
VTWC 6.5p (down 1.1p)
GWR 6.1p (down 0.7p)
EMT 5.2p (up 0.5p)
Greater Anglia 4.6p (up 2p)
Chiltern 2.7p (up 0.5p)
VTEC 2.4p (up 1.3p)
c2c 1.8p (down 2.6p)
GTR 1.6p (up 0.8p)
SWT 3.3p premium (premium down by 0.1p)
Southern 3.8p premium (premium increased by 3.5p)
