Hiya,

Admittedly my views are bias, but I would also encourage you to trade up to RailWorks (RS and MSTS users get a discount on RailWorks).

RailWorks is better supported, much improved, has a vastly larger product range (as well as being able to accept any RailSim content)

There is also support for more than 2Gb RAM in a forth coming update that will benefit larger machine resources and new OS software, all supplied free and automatically ensuring that you always run the latest version.

Regards

I had this same problem, what you do, is look for where the file is or wasput, it would be under program files then EA or EA games then rail simulator or if its not there then go to Program files (x86) and look in there. These files are in local :C drive. If it is not there, then thats the problem that happened to me. Rail simulator does not work on vista!!! It creates a ghost file so it really isnt on your computer even tho it says it is, I have not tried this yet, but you can swith your computer to Compatibility mode and you can select windows xp and it might work, im not sure tho. Havent tried it.... If you need to know how to swith then here is a link for you!

I dont know exactly why these problems are here, railsim doesnt seem like the most demanding of games...
Maybe try checking for patches as they might have updated it
