Admittedly my views are bias, but I would also encourage you to trade up to RailWorks (RS and MSTS users get a discount on RailWorks).
RailWorks is better supported, much improved, has a vastly larger product range (as well as being able to accept any RailSim content)
There is also support for more than 2Gb RAM in a forth coming update that will benefit larger machine resources and new OS software, all supplied free and automatically ensuring that you always run the latest version.
