Due to the line being shut busses are operating between Taunton and Exeter. Does anybody know what buses/coaches are operating these?

Was a variety of operators out on this:
Applegates of Berkeley, N.A.T. Group, Williams of Brecon, Grey Cars of Heathfield, Hamilton-Gray of Exeter, Mid Devon Coaches of Bow, Tamar Coaches of Plymouth, Redwoods of Hemyock, Bakers Dolphin of Weston-super-Mare, Hemmings of Holsworthy, SGBC of Patchway, Oakleys of Plymouth, Plymouth Citycoach, Bennett of Newton Abbot, Berrys of Taunton, Dartline of Exeter, Avalon of Glastonbury.
Probably others out too!
How do the drivers keep up their route knowledge?

Short answer: they don't.

Especially on emergency work where operators are from out of the local area the drivers will often be left to themselves to work it out, using a satellite navigation system if they have one. Major stations are usually signposted but 'stopping' routes can be a nightmare, with stations located off main roads, and not always signed.
It's a wonder they never get lost or hit bridges, isn't it?![]()
