Hi all,

I am planning to travel from Clunderwen to London tomorrow morning, getting the train leaving Clunderwen at 07:35. It looks like the service will be replaced by a bus.
I don't have a ticket for the journey (I was going to buy on the train), will I be able to travel on the bus without already having a ticket?
Also, will the bus be departing Clunderwen at the same time as the train would?

Many thanks

I can't find any information on replacement bus timings at the moment, so you need to either be prepared for a longer journey or having to leave early. You may need to given ATW a ring. The previous scheduled rail departure would have been 0630 so that is a good bet for a replacement bus departure.

If your origin has no ticket purchasing facilities, you will be permitted to board the service and pay at the first available opportunity.

Thanks, I gave ATW a ring and they had no information, seemed like they just put the journey info into national rail and because its showing the green tick for everything is on time they said there was no replacement bus. The information on the ATW website does suggest that the line will be closed over the weekend however.

Train services are running normally West of Carmarthen but the line is closed between Carmarthen and Llanelli with damage to the sea wall at Pembrey. This is likely to be the situation over the weekend. You won't be able to guarantee that a replacement bus from Carmarthen to Llanelli will make connection with your intended train re-starting from Llanelli.
Mind you with another high tide forecast this evening anything can happen anywhere between now and morning,

The ATW Website says that buses are running between Carmarthen and Swansea.

I was on the fishguard train to Llanelli from Cardiff. It was stopping at Llanelli BUT never left Swansea due to no train crew available. The bus replacement was a nightmare and rammed BUT to be fair, got there!

Horrendous conditions for all to be fair!

I feel Arriva are WRONG to say do not travel on the website (on journey checker)- some have no choice - maybe ADVISE not to travel?
