Does anyone have a taste for 'bashing' rail replacement buses? I admit to rather enjoying these, as you are effectively getting an express bus service, often going down roads not served by bus or served infrequently.
I really have heard of it all now. Do people tick Tesco stores off as visited?
)appeared a couple of times, even complete with "British Rail" on the destination blind too Do people tick Tesco stores off as visited?
I know people tick of pubs in the J.D Wetherspoons chain![]()
I know it's 'sad' but that's socially accepted.
TP
Not after ticking several off in one day it's not.![]()

Nothing's sad. People like lift bashing, Ambulance spotting, Dump truck spotting, Rubbish truck spotting and many more.

This. Considering a hell of a lot of people deride train enthusiasm, it disappoints me that so many of you are taking the p**s out of people who like buses/anything else.
If people enjoy something let them carry on (unless they're sexual miscreants of course) !
For the record, I do like bashing rail replacement buses.

I've heard it all now - is there nothing that people will bash?![]()

Me, myself, don't mind a good ride on a rail replacement. Apart from when I was in cornwall and had a rusty Transit van to take us to Truro, my seat had a massive gash in it and the window seal was all green with moss. Eurghh
I remember when the Coventry - Nuneaton line was "bustituted" when the WCML was being upgraded in 2003/04 a Leyland National (think in old Midland Red livery too)appeared a couple of times, even complete with "British Rail" on the destination blind too
.
Off topic, but on occasions a Leyland National is used by Stena Line at Fishguard Harbour to take foot passengers from the train platform and onto the ship and vice versa![]()
Cant be this one then, One of the nicer transit minibuses about!

Apologies for the slight deviation from the route of this thread.
[/QUOTE]Now where I try to avoid long distance rail replacement services ie anything over 30 mins travelling, I do appreciate that you can get some rare vehicles that you wouldn't usually see every day.
Therefore each to their own, so far we've covered pub spotters, truck spotters, train spotters, bus spotters and now I give you washing machine spotters:
