What sections of the railway network are primarily (still) in place to service the UK nuclear industry?

For example, the branch line from Saxmundham to just beyond Leiston (for Sizewell) and the Cumbrian Coast line to/from Sellafield.

The Salwick sidings and box were removed on electrification of Preston to Blackpool of course.

Anything near Dounraey?

Far North Line is used at Georgemas Jn to the south for this.

Wickford to Southminster branch probably wouldn't have survived without Bradwell and indeed was electrified later than the main Shenfield to Southend Victoria line

Am I right in thinking that Crewe Coal Sidings are a secure compound for use by nuclear trains only?

The Seaton Snook branch serves Hartlepool Power Station. The line was originally built to serve a Zinc works

Sadly, the industry seems only to be interested in moving hazardous waste by rail. Everything else goes by road.

What's the position with the old section of line between Blaenau Ffestiniog and Trawsfynnydd?

I suspect that the vast sums of money that have been spent on repairing the branch from the Llandudno junction to Bleaenau Ffestiniog each time it gets washed out is it least partly inspired by maintaining the possibility of rail access to Trawsfynnydd for the future. However I have no evidence for this.

There was a plan to upgrade the rail facility at Salwick in BNFL days to send out fuel rods by rail but it never went ahead.
