Hi,

My first post here and I wondered if anyone can help.

I have the old Miles and chains books (all five) and until recently I have been on with getting my mileage etc.

With St. Pancras International (First Capital Connect) station opening I wondered if any one knew the distance in decimal (or miles and chains) between the new station and the following stations?

Farringdon.
West Hampstead Thameslink.

Also with the new station at Mitcham Eastfields the distances between thre and Streatham and Eastfields and Mitcham Juntion?

Also with new spurs and lines opening up maybe anyone who knows these bit of info could post them here to help others.

Thanks for the help in advance.

Lensmeister.

Look out the window. On the downside will be 1/4 Mile markers
74 - 74 Miles
74.I - 74 Miles 20 Chain
74.II - 74 Miles 40 Chain
74.II - 74 Miles 60 Chain

Obviously 20 Chain is 1/4 Mile, or 440 Yards, with 1 Chain being 22 Yards

I have tried to have a look at the mile posts as advised ... but ... I can't make them out in the tunnels. :(

I find it's also quite hard when you're going at 125mph!
