Every other year I tend to buy the latest edition of either the "Rail Guide" or "Locomotives and Rolling stock" since my in-laws regularly send me an Amazon voucher for my birthday and this more than covered the cost.
I didn't buy one last year but this year I am staggered to discover that the Rail Guide 2014, which has just come out, is being sold at £20! Previously it's rrp was £16.99 but Amazon sold it for around £12 or £13. I note that it's rrp has gone up which is fair enough but added to that there is no discount from Amazon! I wonder what the L&RS 2014 cost will be. I shudder to think as it is usually more expensive in the first place!
