Assertis provides online ticket retailing and journey planning for TOCs.
Over the past 18 months we've built our own fares and journey planning engine that uses the RSP DTD feed data (fares, schedules and routeing guide), as well as other RSP data (such as IDMS and Darwin) to create journey plans and return fares - and to do it, we hope, better than others.
We are looking for QAs who are experts in the rail fares and schedule data to help us test this. Roles are either part time or full time, and are both permanent and temporary (this is an ongoing project and has become our core product; there will always be a need for rail experts in our business). The role requires at least occasional visits to our office in London (we are flexible as to working from home and using technology to communicate, but you really can't beat face to face communication on a regular basis). You will need to be able to create and conduct tests, and document test results, in a structured way that will provide the evidence for the quality of our product both to ourselves and to our clients. You should have good written and spreadsheet skills, and be able to demonstrate a clear and methodical approach to testing. You should be able to both analyse the detail and present an overview of results to the wider team. Previous testing experience is not required, but is beneficial.
You will be working closely with developers, product owners, other QAs and project managers in order to help deliver the final stage of the product, and to become a central part of its ongoing development. We have already undertaken extensive testing, and we'd like you to help bring that together and take it to the next level - to provide both us and our clients with reassurance about the quality of the product.
We will also be conducting extensive automated testing, which will complement the manual testing that this role will undertake.
Our goal is to improve rail ticket retailing by an order of magnitude. There are many further steps we can and will take in developing this product. This is an opportunity for you to contribute to - and help shape - that future, and to make customers' experience of buying train tickets and travelling by train far better.
We are offering competitive pay plus benefits. The opportunity is immediate, or as soon as you are able to join.
Please contact me directly with a bit of information about yourself if you are interested, and we can have a chat.
Thank you
