That's not totally correct, you can still use your railcard before 10.00 but have to pay the standard minimum fare of £12.

Yes, it was corrected above already; since the fare in question was the off-peak day return which was already under £12 a Y-P discount wouldn't apply.

Edit: And yes, it's not even a railcard anyhow!
