Does anyone know what traction can be expected for the two Rail-Blue Charters heading down the Central Wales Line in March are (4th March - St Albans to Llandrindod Wells and Cardiff, 30th March - Watford to Llandrindod Wells and Cardiff).

Many Thanks!

Coincidentally have just asked Rail Blue this myself, as have booked on the Watford to Cardiff tour.
Answer is:
'Possibly a 47 or 67'

Hmm...the one in early March from St. Albans is a 67 - the late March one up the West Coast remains to be confirmed. Not really optimistic, though...

This isnt looking good. Never mind, ive only done the HoW once before, so wanted to head down it again.
Looks like I'll be sticking with Railtourer mainly! Pretty much guaranteed quality traction!!!

Yes, I got a reply from them today, confirming it will be a 67. Ah well, there's always other tours, I suppose (I'm only really interested in tours that go to interesting places and have interesting traction - too often it's one or the other...)!

This is the first Rail Blue thread I could see - the May 6th Edinburgh tour is now reported to be a can, presuming having merged with the caped December tour. Won't be getting me on that - but there are some KMs on offer the same day... :)

Should stress thats (AFAIK) unofficial for now, but I've no reason to doubt the source.
