Saw this company velorails in Normandy near Falaise but it was shut so couldn't have a go
their operation in Ardeche has English website though explaining how it works Seems you all set off in convoy under supervision then a rail bus hauls you and the bike buggies back Could see a market here in the UK especially on narrow gauge imagine riding down the WHR through the passes

Wasn't there some talk of re-opening the ex GW Blaenau Ffestiniog-Bala line, using similar machines?
What happened to that idea?

Perhaps they were afraid the locals in Penrhyndeudreath would start using them on the Pont Briwet now that it has the track in place.

We were told on the second time that in our time limit, we'd be unlikely to get to the end of the line. Us on trolley one and a French couple behind on trolley 2 were determined to do the whole line which we managed to do. Given that this was just after the 2012 Tour de France, we simply explained to the staff that cycling came naturally to us Brits!

Possible...there's no knowing what the locals in Penrhyndeudreath will do!

I wonder if anyone's told Northern about these bikes with regard to the Todmorden Curve? Should be just a bit more comfortable than a pacer, and certainly more leg-room.
