ive literally passed my PTS with them today!

they also have sites at peterborough, ripley and stoke

you start off in a big group on 14 week (2 days a week) tester course by the end of that they choose the best students to be put forward to PTS and 12 month apprenticeship

its all goverment funded so all you have to worry about is traveling costs they also fund your PTS, DCCR and TIC courses if you get through, if you dont i think you still get an NVQ for your 14 weeks in basic track maintenance and underpinning

ive done my training at ripley which is based at Swanwick Junction on the Midland Railway heritage site its a mix of theory in the class room and practical on a 60ft panel of track set out for training purposes

Any news on when the First Great Western and First Capital Connect customer service apprenticeships will be up. Been looking for ages and never seen them advertised yet.
