Rail Activities in glasgow

Hi All,


It's been a while since I've last posted, and I'm certainly out of the loop on recent rail-related occurrences, however I'm up in Glasgow for business this weekend, and I'm wondering about going on a little excursion somewhere.

So far I've thought of:

• West highland line (however I drove over that way recently, so i'm unsure if I fancy doing it again)
• Edinburgh, trying to get some trips on Pendolinos or HST's
• WCML into england (I've never been on a tilting train)

However I'm just wondering if there is any interesting stock nearby, or something that I've not thought of, which you can recommend?

You could do Glasgow to Carlisle one way on pendo and back on 156 via Dumfries.
380s on any of Ayyshire routes .
314s as they are going soon .
334s to Edinburgh and back via another line eg vtec hst edinburgh to falkirk or stirling.
Fife loco hauled from Edinburgh.
