Quietest Ticket Office in the UK

With the thread about further ticket office closures proposed , I wondered which Manned Ticket Office in the UK has the lowest turnover - ie ticket sales.

Can I hijack this with a question of my own? What ticket offices are the busiest? Both in terms of tickets sold and revenue taken as the answers might not necessarily be the same. I'd imagine that the most tickets sold would be somewhere firmly in the London commuter belt, but as the tickets sold here might be cheaper than somewhere further out which has a large commute but much more expensive tickets, and a higher proportion of people who buy tickets on the day rather than season ticket holders. Or would a London Terminal/major station like Birmingham New Street or Manchester Piccadilly be busier? How many people arriving at the very biggest stations already have tickets which they purchased elsewhere?

I believe Dalmally was a contender for this title prior to closing - that's why I am trying to find out on another thread the date it ceased operating.

Carstairs is the quietest booking office in the UK by passenger numbers - it's open 7 hours a day, 6 days a week, for 14,000 passengers a year!

I don't know how much money it takes, but Feniton on the line between Exeter and Honiton has a small manned ticket booth which is only open Monday to Friday for 4 hours in the morning. Prehaps suprisingly, nearly 70,000 people passed through in 08/09, though quite how many got their tickets from the office rather than the ticket machine I don't know.

Same goes for Ladybank in Fife, 49,000 passed through, but the ticket office is only open for 3 hours a day.
