Quiet Zones?

my personal gripe about Quiet Coaches is the amount of noise created by needless announcements by the on-train staff ! Can't they have some sort of reduced announcements for that coach which just says the name of the approaching station ?

Agree. And you get the same blurb at every stop, plus regular stuff from the buffet car. There are certain seats directly under the speakers as well. There have been occasions when the speakers in Coach G (FGW's first class quiet zone) are the loudest on the entire train, and Coach H is actually more peaceful!
