Sorry, short notice but this morning I'm wanting to go from Chapel en le Frith to Stone. Getting CEF to DSL and DSL to SNE tickets = £10.05 (YP)

I want to however stop off at Longport on the way, what is the cheapest way to get to Longport and be able to go onto Stone later?

look up nat rail, why would you want to go to this old Burslem station?
you can get a bus from Stoke etc. I think Longport as an hourly service to stone,
I know the area well.

Aside from wondering why on earth you'd want to do such a thing... :p

Get the Northern Rail stopper from Stockport/Piccadilly to Stoke, I *believe* that stops at Longport.

Then again, it might just be EMT that stop at Longport, in which case its the NT stopper to Kidsgrove and change onto EMT there. Reckon it might be a good 45 minute wait though, seeing as the EMT gets to Stoke at xx33, with the NT about 10-15 minutes behind it...

Then EMT onwards to Stoke for the LM to Stone - should be about 20-25 minute wait at Stoke.
