Hi, I need to travel from Luton to Cannon Street tomorrow, sometime around mid afternoon. Any suggestions as to the best way to do this? Thameslink to Blackfriars / City Thameslink and then walk? Is there a useful bus from St Pancras. I'm not at all familiar with this area of London so any suggestions gratefully recieved.

Depends on definition of "best" but your suggestion is cheapest as you would only need a Luton to London Thameslink ticket. It's only around half a mile walk.

Best in this case is convenience / speed rather than price. Appreciate that is still subjective, but I'll have no luggage and I'm fit enough to walk half mile, so a stroll from Blackfriars would be fine. Will have my PAYG oyster so could jump on the tube if raining.

Where on Cannon Street, as it isn't a particularly short road. Bus route 17 from Kings Cross/St Panc to Cannon Street (more or less the full length, from St Pauls to Monument) may suit your needs.

You could take the train from Luton to Blackfriars, and then take the tube to Cannon Street.

Alternatively get of at City Thameslink at take bus no. 17.
