Question !!

Hello,
I'm sure someone has asked this question before,but i cant find it on here !
When you re-apply for your 2nd chance (after 6 months )do you have to wait for a TOC to advertise that they are looking for Trainee Drivers,or can you just get in touch with them and explain the 6 months are up now,can i come along and do the 'Interviews' ,which i didnt pass 6 m onths ago.
Apparently i remember last year someone on here passed everything but was told we dont have any vacancies at the moment.........so there is a chance if you do pass,you still might not have a job until a later date.

not entirely sure but what I can say is that I went to medical and passed that but because of some personal reasons I had to tell them that I wasnt in a position to take the job on when I was offered it. They told me that I could reapply if and when I am in position to take the job on but unfortunately I would have to wait until there was a vacancy that I could apply for.

I know this isn't exactly what you asked but I dare say that it will be a similar situation for yourself if you have to retake part of the assessment seeing as I have to wait for a job and I have passed the assessment. But of course I may have to wait as I turned the job down the first time!

when my 6 month period was up back in july 2009! I phoned up recruitment (south west trains) and asked them what I should do, they told me to write a letter with all my details (name, address, candidate number, when i failed and what i failed on) as well as explaining my interest in the position and that I wish to re-apply (or re activate my application what ever way you want to look at it) at the next oppertunity, so thats what I did, then after a few weeks I phoned them to check they'd recived my letter and they told me I was second on the waiting list for my chosen depots, of which is still the case and this was all most 18 months ago now and I'm still waiting for a position as there are no vacancies for my depots of choice.
