Hello, hopefully someone can help me with this one.
I’ve purchased two advance singles for Avanti services from an LNER ticket office. I now need to change the dates.
looking at the Avanti website it says the rail industry have introduced an easement for fee-free amendments and that I should return them to the point of purchase.
Avanti are telling me when I spoke with them on social media that the usual £10 amendment charge applies if I didn’t purchase through them.
Is this correct? If it is I won’t bother as both tickets were sub £20 so it’s not worth the hassle of heading back into town to change.
Also just to add to the fun the tickets were purchased with RTVs which was the only reason I used the ticket office to start with. Will this cause an issue if changing?
