I'd get bored on the Sudbury-Marks Tey or Romford-Upminster branches round my way... The latter is 9mins in each direction, with one intermediate stop and one signal.

It is boring only if you want it to be! The only way I can get bored while driving a train is when driving a passenger train I have nobody* on board, that really kills me.

*meaning really no one, an empty branch line train on a bank holiday :D

Aldwych shuttle wasn't a great deal of fun - one and a half minutes running time and only 2 minutes to change ends (being a three car). On the afternoon/evening shift you didn't even take the empty three cars back to Northfields. Eventually a certain character took a liking to it and swopped for it all the time working it until it's closure.
