Hi, I know there are several of us on here who have stated we have passed assessment day for Sheffield trainee driver and was waiting for medical/course start date. Just wondered if anyone has heard any more and also how soon after the assessment day did northern HR contact you to say well done and to wait for next stage? I appreciate northern are very very busy with all new courses and applications and everyone is playing a waiting game for trainers and courses to become available, after having the assessments and being told on the day of 17th August I had passed all assessments I have not heard anything yet from Northern to acknowledge. Just wondering if anyone else is in the same situation as I don't want to look impatient and contact HR. Cheers all.

Hi Posh,

Following the assessment day....it took 6 days for Northern Rails HR folks to come back to me about successful outcome via email.

Been waiting for medical/course to start since late June this year....

If I were you I would call HR (quick query) for clarity.

Best wishes

Hi Bailos
Do you know your medical or course start date already?
Or still wait like me?

Passed assessment early June for Manchester- heard same day that I passed plus got a follow up email next day to confirm. Since then heard nothing. I did call a few weeks back and they assured me they were waiting for courses, although they would hardly say they are just keeping you in reserve, but yes I believe patience is the name of the game. Fingers crossed , ho hum
