Question about split tickets

Hello

I have already purchased an advance from Crewe to Euston.

I need to purchase a ticket from Liverpool to Crewe. The off peak day single is approx £25. Not seeing any advances.

But I noticed that an advance ticket from Liverpool to Stafford is approx £18.

Can I buy Liverpool to Stafford advance ticket, get off in Crewe and continue my journey to Euston on the 2nd advance ?

Advance tickets do not allow you to break your journey (finish short).

NRCoT 9.5.2 states that "Where you break your journey when you are not permitted to do so you will be charged the difference between the fare that you have paid and the lowest price Ticket that is valid for the train you are using".

Where are you seeing £25 for an off peak day single? The Off Peak Day Single is £15.20. The only fare close to £25 is an Anytime Single routed via Manchester for £24.80 which is such a roundabout route it's irrelevant here.

I've decided to buy Liverpool to Wigan via Crewe
