question about shops near Darlington station

I've to go to Darlington tomorrow and with it been a Friday, I quite fancy a few lemonades on my journey back to Sheffield.

Not wanting to pay extortionate prices on the train, where is the nearest tesco/sainsburys/asda?

Out of the station and then right over the glass roof bridge. Follow the stub of the road to the main road and then turn right. A small ex Netto type Asda is on your right. 10 mins walk?

Or you might buy some drink from Asda and take it on the train. Watching the Countryside go past, and eating and drinking. Now there's a thought

Well if I can buy 4 cans for lager for £3.50 or buy 1 can for £3.20 I know what offers better value

Great stop off point for away days in the north east

Either asda or sainsburys local as mentioned above. Alternatively, if you've got time, 10 mins walk into the town centre. Head past taxi rank inside station and down the big ramp, left under the down mainline then down yarm road and over the ringroad towards the church and up the hill. Plenty of shops here
