I am after some advice on the daily cap for my travel within London. I have a Gold card and it is loaded onto my Oyster. When I travel in the evening peak (between 1600-1900) on NR from Zone 4 to 1 from a Southern metro station, I will be charged an Oyster peak single fare (@£4.60 single). What I am not sure is whether the cost of this journey will be counted towards my off-peak cap for Z1-4 (say all the rest of my journeys afterwards are within Zone1) @£5.10, or it will be considered as part of the peak cap instead. I'm thinking if it's not going to be capped @£5.10, I would be better off getting a cash single for this inbound journey instead and pay at most £4.60 on my Oyster for the Z1-2 cap?
Any advice much appreciated. Thx.
