Question about depots and transport

Say for example your depot was Victoria...how do you get there.

-you could drive...but where do you park?
-you could get the train...but if your on early's there are no trains?

So how does this work with central London depots? What do the TOC's expect you to do?

May be a dumb question but can't quite figure out the answer!!

I recon you may assume correct and guess what when there was a fuel shortage you also get a letter allowing you to jump the queues at the pumps Sorry 455 but they are only jealous

A lot depends on the individual toc's t&c's, some provide taxis some say get the night bus, and some say use your shanksys pony.

In most cases, the answer is very simple. Get yourself to work!!!!

I was based at a Central London depot when I was on board crew. For earlies I had to take two night buses to get to work, or one to Aldwych and walk the remaining couple of miles.

Always handy if there are trains terminating close to the depot on a night shift - don't even have to walk, just get on, put on hi-viz and Bob's your uncle.

Even better in the morning when there is a service that runs ECS straight to the station you need.

Don't forget, in the specific case of Victoria there are hourly trains all night calling at principal stations from Gatwick Airport via East Croydon.

Yep, sorry, I should have been clearer. I was assuming the OP meant how to get to work when there is no public transport. Take the train/tube the rest of the time!
