Was there ever a stores depot for the tramway system between Cleveleys and Fleetwood that branched off to the right, when Fleetwood-bound?

Why should be such trackwork at the Lauderdale Avenue area be required?
There used to be a depot at Copse Road, in fact its still there I think as a motor dealer or similar. There was a connection to the Fleetwood line there and coal was brough from there to the Tramroad Power Station at Bispham for sometime. the depot is on the left heading north.
There was also a Permanent Way siding at Thornton Gate until very recently. The siding was on the right heading north.

No, its required for establishment but not removal (except stations due to a certain infamous act).
Watcher, I take it you are referring to the way TfGM have had to apply for DfT permission to close Mosley Street and Woodlands Road. I think, but not 100% sure, that the need for this is something to do with the way Metrolink was oringinally empowered and it may not necessarliy be needed for tramstops on other systems.
