I have been asked by a friend to look for tickets between A and B, having looked for several fares (including Oyster and splits) I have come to the conclusion that the through ticket is the best option.
As his start station is Enfield Lock (ENF) and the HST departs from Paddington (PAD), my usual advice would be to jump off at Tottenham Hale and go to PAD via King's Cross. I know there would be no problem doing this on Oyster but would there be on this cross-London ticket?
I say this as the Victoria Line is far quicker than trekking into Liverpool Street (LST) and round the top side of the Circle. Therefore if a trip via LST is required I need to advise to get an earlier local train from ENF to ensure good time is allowed for the transfer.
The ticket will be a normal walk up SVR, therefore no need to allow the official connection times.
