I purchased a ticket from Manchester to Crew via Manchester Airport and missed my train so had to pay £10 to travel on another train. I made my connecting train, although unofficially as by now I wasn't allowing the official connection time at Crewe.
The issue I have with advances for short distances around the southeast is that they don't offer them across companies.
So I can get an advance from Guildford to Poole but not Guildford to Maidstone.
