Queries on the Line to Bognor

I traveled last weekend from Clapham Junction to Ford & Bognor Regis, on the not very fast direct services.

I noticed at Pulborough Station that there appeared to be a disused or bay platform face, would that have been for the rural service over towards Petersfield?

On a similar note, there were also a couple of similar old platform faces at Arundel Station, was there a junction there too onto a disused line, if so, where did it go to?

There was indeed a line to Petersfield but checking an old map I cant see anything from Arundel on there apart from what is there now.

The Pulborough island platform was for the Midhurst branch, which turned Southwards towards Chichester, all built and owned by the London Brighton and South Coast railway.

The London and South Western Railway had their own branch from Petersfield to Midhurst and although there was a physical connection between the two at Midhurst, I don't believe that this was ever used for a through passenger service from Pullborough to Petersfield.

I'm not sure what the story was behind the island platform at Arundel was, but I don't believe there was ever a branch from there.

At Pulborough the disused up loop platform would have held the former service to Midhurst and Petersfield. I believe that part of the former up loop track was still used as a siding for engineers vehicles until the 1990s..?
At Arundel there was a down bay platform which was used for shuttle train services to Littlehampton until around 1970s or 1980s.. when the Arundel -Arundel Jn. area was resignalled.
Similarily the down loop platform at Ford was abolished around the same time.
Someone somewhere may have the exact dates these track layout changes occurred.
