Hi @baz962 / all,

Not here to post adverts or interfere with the natural running of things, more to help out with any recruitment tips & advice as an experienced head in hiring, and increase my own knowledge of the sector in other areas of the forum.

I manage Samuel Knight's rail business, and the adverts you mention, I am overseeing the delivery to. We do have a few meetings with POC's in October where we hope to expand our access, but at the moment we are heavily FOC focused. We should have good news for 5 candidates today and I can confirm this is a buoyant sector at the moment for anybody interested.

Thanks
Dave

Thanks for the reply Dave I am unfortunately unqualified and am looking for a trainee position, have passed all psychometric tests as have many others on here so if you can help us aspiring trainee's (IF something comes your way) too I am sure it would be v much appreciated.

Regards
Baz

Hi Baz - usually recruitment agencies will only be asked to supply experienced drivers, or at a stretch drivers from different operating company backgrounds (Passenger > Freight etc.).

The reason being recruitment consultancies are paid for their introductions, and usually it is quite easy for companies to advertise for trainees themselves and save on the cost.

Of course, like other members of the forum, if I hear of trainee campaigns I will post a heads up.
