Hi everyone.

Does anyone know anything abut the jobs advertised at Greater Anglia? https://careers.greateranglia.co.uk/departments/operations

There are three advertised, but no specific location is mentioned, each mentions several. For example, Liverpool Street is mentioned in two of the adverts.

Does anyone have any contact details for HR there? I'd like to reach out and ask what depots they're actually adverting for before I fill in a long winded application.

Also, if anyone reading this works for GA, it'd be great to get your thoughts on your experience there.

Thanks for any info on this.

Looks like an “all depots” advert. The reason Liverpool St is mentioned twice is (AIUI) because GA has both Anglia and West Anglia sides, which have slightly different pay and Ts and Cs (note the different salary between the two). HR don’t tend to have contact details available because they’d be inundated.

I don’t work for GA but work with several who used to: the consensus is that pay and Ts and Cs aren’t great, albeit they have a nice new fleet. They’re about the lowest paid operator in the SE/London area apart from Southeastern hence quite a few have moved on to other operators. That said, obviously if one of their depots is in an area you want to relocate to, it might be worth exploring.

@dk1 might know more.

Worked for them up until 2015 and alongside them up until present.

T&Cs not particularly bad IMO still retains a lot of ex WAGN/GE/Anglia conditions.

From ex colleagues, the biggest issue is continued increase in workload and stagnant pay. Alongside a souring of staff/management relations. They are anything between 15 to 20k behind everyone around them. As a result, they leak drivers like there’s no tommorow. Droves of drivers have moved on and even PQAs speak of doing the minimum and moving on. The previous qualifieds advert for all locations was up for no less than a year and doubt it generated very much interest. Tons of new faces so it’s unclear whether or not it will settle into something different or better. The more senior drivers are top notch though. So I guess the real question is how bad is it where you’re coming from..

My time there was fine, but then it was a very different company back in 2015.

Many thanks for your insights. I'll certainly keep this in mind.
