Currently no railway in this country.
However, the Doha metro sounds exciting for 2016.
There will be a proper railway in the country by 2022 at 4ft 8 1/2
what would your proposal be?
Mine will be, new train and metro station at the new doha international airport. A rail link into Saudi arabia, which will link their new railway line to places like Riyadh and Mecca.
times from Doha:
Jeddah via Riyadh and Mecca, 2tph
Dubai via Abu Dhabi, 3tph
Other Qater destinations, Umm sa'id, Al Khawr, Al Wakrah, Al Waksair, Dukhan, Umm Bab and Lusail. Dependent on demand, but proposed 3tph to 6tph where needed at peak times.
