I often by tickets for a large group of tickets for my mates and I for football awaydays. This season we (I) have switched from collecting paper tickets to etickets to save myself the hassle of collecting from the machine and then dealing them all out.
The tickets I bought from TPE all came in one pdf (24 tickets) meaning that I had to chop up the pdf (luckily I have an adobe creative cloud license thru work). This isn't exactly ideal was as it was a bit time consuming itself. Has anyone else dealt with this in a more efficient manner?

There are online PDF tools that might be quicker, eg search for "pdf splitter".

Some retailers like TrainSplit will let you download seperate PDFs for each passenger with their respective outward and return tickets in the same file.

Some retailers will allow you to send the eTickets on to other people individually. LNER definitely does this (in Apple, Google or pdf formats) and I'd like to say Trainsplit does but I can't actually remember.

yes that would be ideal - I will check LNER and do that for some other tickets. For another LNWR purchase I have this email, which is a bit better for me as an iPhone user but four of the others have Androids.

Yes, TrainSplit will offer PDFs and Google/Apple Wallet links per-passenger for each journey in the booking.

I tend to buy from the retailer I'm traveling with as I've had issues claiming delay repay in the past otherwise.

You claim delay repay from the train operator that caused the delay. The retailer of the ticket isn't relevant.

I've been fobbed off with "since you purchased the ticket from x you'll need to go through them" previously although this was a few years ago. I didn't think it was correct at the time so did bother pursuing it as only a small amount. Hopefully this has improved now. Thanks

For low-key PDF manipulation such as splitting by page, I find PDFSam Basic (free, open-source) to be ideal

Just a question. Were you claiming delay repay or trying to get a refund?

That definitely shouldn't be the case. We're more than happy to provide advice and assistance on the forum if it were to happen again, though! :)

Hmm, now u mention it could have been a refund :s. But in any case but both the TOCs said it was the others responsibility. Another reason I prefer to buy from the TOC providing the service it usually gives you a better interface when it comes to seat selection if a reservation is required.

Yeah I thought so. In future I won't let them get away with it and consult the gurus here :)
