As a poster on here has quite rightly put it about getting sanctimonious about this issue, i wonder if 'effing' your ticket should be treated in the same way that is fraud, there are so many on here that have done it so really no one should be self righteous about this person.
All the the young lady wanted to know and she has admitted that she got caught and puts her hands up, is the likely discipline against her father as the key holder of the passes. He maybe subject to discipline and depending the severity of it could be a slap on the wrist and warned about future conduct to having your passes taken away either for a short period of time or permanent, or dismissal from service. That in a nutshell is what could happen. As someone else mentioned be honest with your dad tell him what took place, write letter stating that you did wrong and in no way should this reflect on your dads future, be humble, be apologetic and be remorseful. This may not help you yourself, but it may help your Dad.

I don't want to moralise or throw either first or last stones, but any senior citizen faced with very limited affordable travel won't shed many tears for the lass. Year in, year out, the few senior privileges we once had are being whittled down and down ....and down and not just where: SNCF in France is at it too-50 euros for a carte senior and all TGV subject to whatever is left over after they've sold the cheapies to Pierre, Dick and Jean-Jean, and now no deal at all without card on (non-TGV) TEAC routes Paris: Strasbourg Toulouse, Clermont-Ferrand which effectivly eliminates the two super-scenic routs to Bezier and Montpellier.
Thankfully, DE still treats us seniors well and so does Belgium-just 5 euros any train anywhere return after 9am -to last train 00.00 but not weekends May -Sept?) nor holidays: then everyone gets half-price anywhere.
