Does anyone know which coach Pullman dining will be in on the 12:22 ex Swansea (13:55 ex Bristol Parkway. ) It appears to be 2 x 5-car so presumably coach E or coach L - does anyone know which?

That is helpful, but by way of a guarantee it's whichever end first class vehicle doesn't have reservations in - hope that helps!

Thanks - they just managed to squeeze us in. It was indeed coach L but that was the London end of the rear unit.

Glad you managed. Unusual for it to be in the rear unit heading to London, guess something went wrong in Swansea/Carmarthen. That being said I do check the platform display when joining at intermediate stations to check where L is… and then watch the train as it comes in just in case!

Did you enjoy? There’s a thread for the GWR Pullman if you want to add.

I’ve never not seen it in the rear unit. The front unit comes from Carmarthen and couples on to the rear unit which has already been on the platform in Swansea for a while, being set up for dining. Pullman Dining on the 12xx from Swansea will almost always be either the carriage nearest the ticket barriers at Swansea, or the other end of the same set towards the middle of the train.
