Hi all, I'm looking to go to Redhill Aeredrome on a weekend. I see I can get from East Croydon Station to Redhill Station and get the bus (100, 315, 400, 420/460, 424, 430/435) to East Surrey Hospital. But the walk from there looks quite far with no pavement?

The 424 route stops at the end of the road to the aerodrome, but is quite circuitous from Redhill, see: http://southdownpsv.co.uk/ops/pdf/424 PANEL TIMETABLE AUGUST 2015(3).pdf It is a 3/4 mile unpaved walk to the aerodrome.

The 420 and 460 stop nearby at Whitebushes, Spencer Way, which is a bit closer than East Surrey Hospital, it is paved in the Whitebushes estate, then about a mile of unpaved to Redhill Aerodrome.

Any more questions ask, it is my neck of the woods.

Thanks. Unfortunately a mile is too far to walk due to current health conditions.

If you can't walk there and you really want to visit, then it may prove to be reasonably practical to book a taxi from Nutfield Station, which is not too far by road. Alternatively Earlswood is not too much further away and has a more frequent train service. The best cab companies for this would probably be Roadrunners Redhill or Belfry Cars, though other suggestions may be available...

I can recommend RoadRunners from when I lived in Redhill (Until January this year).

As a footnote... go the Roadrunners office ( just over the road from the railway station ) as the fare will be noticeably lower than from the rank in the station forecourt.

Well they charge £10 for Redhill to Gatwick so I should budget for the same.

Nutfield to Redhill Aerodrome is 1.4 miles, might be worth checking the price of getting a taxi from there with either RoadRunners or Belfry Cars. Depends on difference in railway ticket cost.

Quickest direct route from Redhill by taxi is 2.7 miles.
