Does anyone know where the APT Prototype HST (BR Class 252) is and also the APT-E tilting train is? I believe both are on display somewhere, is it Old Oak Common or NRM Shildon? As have seen on various websites it says both. Many thanks.

Is there not part of an APT set on display at Crewe?

If you are on a train through the station and you look out of the window at the right moment you can see it.

The half rake at Crewe Is an APT-P. as I understand the APTE has been refurbished at the NRM, however I can't tell you what condition it's in, or where it currently resides.

APT-E is at Shildon.

The prototype HST. Some of the coaches are still in daily passenger service with production vehicles with FGW (42353 & 42356) and East Coast (41170, 42355 & 42357).

A couple of others form part of the NMT set and a couple others are part of the royal train.

The powercars, 41002 was scrapped in the mid 90's. 41001 is part of the National Collection and is been restored to full working order by the 125 Group at NL.
