I was caught on thr 31st using a short fare between stone crossing and greenhithr because i didnt have anyone money. I hot told i should be expecting a letter and ive been fined quite alot before( i used to take the train from secondary school yr7-13 so lost quite a fee tickets) I’ve received the letter and im unsure what to write in response i cant go to court im only 18 a criminal record would basically ruin my life. What do i do would they let me pay out of court ive libked the letter And a draft below any help is appreciated.

They only seem to be asking you about this incident, so I think it would be best not to mention any previous incidents at this stage, although if you purchased these tickets online they may search your previous purchases and they may then decide to include those in any settlement

You are on the right lines, but it would be more realistic to ask them to consider settling out of court - there will be an admin fee to pay on top of the proper fare.
Any Penalty Fare incidents are done and dusted, so don't worry about them.

Best of luck with this. If you engage frankly and honestly with the company, you should be able to negotiate a settlement, although nothing is ever guaranteed and it probably won't come cheaply.You will get sound advice from this forum.

You say you've been fined before yet have continued to evade paying the fare for your journey. That isn't going to help keeping the matter out of court. I suggest writing a short, concise reply to Southeastern that mentions:
- That you are sorry for what has happened
- What you have learned from the incident
- That you are keen to settle the matter without the need for court action
- Offer to pay the outstanding fare and the train company's administrative costs in dealing with the matter
If you post a draft reply int his thread we will proof read it for you.
