Progress on ATOC's Connecting Communities projects

Given the Government's new Rail Strategy has an objective of encouraging schemes for new rail links to be developed so as to create a pipeline of projects bring forward, I thought it might be interesting to look at the last (arguably much more structured) work done to create such a pipeline.

The list of projects is below - it would be good if we could nail down the definitive status of them all, so if you know of an update that would be appreciated!

New Rail and Station Schemes
1. Aldridge - Sutton Park line
2. Ashington and Blyth - Blyth and Tyne line - Northern required by franchise agreement to fully and effectively cooperate
3. Bordon - Borden Light Railway
4. Brixham - Paignton and Dartmouth Railway
5. Brownhills - South Staffordshire line
6. Cranleigh - Cranleigh line
7. Fleetwood - Fleetwood Branch line
8. Hythe - Fawley Branch line
9. Coalville - Leicester to Burton freight line
10. Rawtenstall - East Lancashire Railway
11. Ringwood - New Forest
12. Skelmersdale - Skelmersale branch
13. Washington - Leamside line
14. Wisbech - Wisbech and March line
