Problems with Train Sim 2012

Can anybody help? I have had a great time with my Railworks 2 complete with Armstrong Power House sound and put off upgrading to Train Simulator 2012 as I am a bit sceptical about 'upgrades'!! Since upgrading the programme has been a great disappointment. Problems as follows when using the HST on the Oxford line:
Very jerky
Continual hiss of air brakes
Horn not working correctly
Ghost trains in the other direction
I thought rain was supposed to fall on the windscreen?
I have turned down the features to try and improve FPS with limited success but the air brake issue will not go away. Can I solve these or can I revert to Railworks 2 (I have the original discs) without automatically upgrading. Thanks in anticipation.

For the AP sound packs they all have been upgraded to RW3 standard as am abig fan of the HST sounds that he does and all work fine.

Rain will only fall on the windscreen if you run it in TSX graphics mode, same as for the lights. For the airbrakes as said is fixed in the updated AP sounds.

Re-Ghost trains im not to sure what causes that, the general clear blue print cache works.

For the FPS problem sadly like lots of other users including me suffer from bad frames on it, but gladly it is improving with newer and newer patches. What resoloution are you running? also is it in Windowed or Fullscreen mode?

May help to list system specs as well.

Reverting back to RW2 is impossible unless you made a back up copy of it then disable steam for going online. Not possible from the disk either as steam will just instantly start to download the latest verison as well.

I also suggest going to www.uktrainsim.com and joining the forums as a lot more people who may be able to help with your specific problems on RW3.
