Problems getting onto BVE Exchange forums

When I tried get onto the BVE Exchange forums website earlier on I get a page load error and it seems there is connection problem getting onto the website itself so what's happened there?

I just hope it gets back online soon though so what's happened to it so far?

To my knowledge there hasn't been any problem with the BVE-Exchange forums, they have been online since they were formed. However, a colleague reported to me this weekend that he couldn't access the site, and he solved the problem by unplugging his router and plugging it back in again.

There's a technical reason for this, but the explanation is beyond me I'm afraid! :roll:

I tried that link you gave me there but still can't get on there, is there a technical problem with the website anyway?

I couldn't get on to the site a few days ago.

I use a BT wireless router. Once I'd switched it off at the mains, and on again, the link to that forum worked.

I've had this happen with some other sites, too...

Sometimes i cannot get on either but all i have to do is press refresh or F5 a couple of times and it comes up. May be different for everyone though.

It's probably that the DNS server (the computer at your ISP that turns google.com into an IP address) is jsut taking some time to catch up. 2-3 weeks is normal.

I'm having trouble getting on today, but it's the first time it's happened to me. I'm not sure why though, as I've been using it fine previously. I'll leave it for a while and see if it rectifies itself before I start making phone calls to Internet people!

Got to say im supprised about this...living here in basingstoke - a places thats becoming known for its excellent:roll: internet quility...ie BT will be upgrading the towns exchange/ server...eventually...

But ive not had a problem getting on the BVE exchange forums at all...not since day 1!...

I think "Mojo" said that this site and some other site's will be closed for a couple of hours from 11.PM yesterday for updates or somthing I dont know if this affected BVE Exchange or not though.

I can access BVE Exchange all the time on my phone, but not always on my PC. OpenDNS is reporting a server failure .... hmmmmm, that can't be right, can it?
