Saw on NRE that there were problems between Leeds and Horsforth today, only information I found was that it was due to 'poor rail conditions'. Any ideas what the actual problem was?

The whole Harrogate line has been a nightmare over the last few days, it has been an ice rink for the drivers as the units have struggled to get grip particularly the 150s and 14x diagrams, getting up the bank Starbeck to Harrogate has always been fun and Burley Park is just the same

Could this be why the 0609 Leeds-York via Harrogate was formed of a 3 car 158 this morning?

Well according to another thread the 158s are pretty awful in wet conditions as well, so more likely I would have thought it was a roundabout positioning move for the York-Blackpool service. Either that or Northern had one of their "Throw anything lying around spare at Neville Hill to run the service!" moments.

Theres a 158 diagram on Harrogate line on a morning but its not one of my diagrams so dont know which one, was probably due to (as mentionned) Neville Hill not having right sets for some reason

Think it is always a 158, one of the services around 8-9am from York is the 158 going back the other way. Bit of luxury for half of the commutters' journey I suppose.
