I've asked on UKtrainsim but still haven't had a reply after 24 hours so here goes.

I have downloaded the Dorset coast V4 (after installing V3 from CD) So I have all the stock.

I also installed the desiro day part 1 from UKtrainsim, but when I change ends at Guildford, I can get upto about 30mph (PSR 40mph) and the brakes come on for no reason. It's not vigilance or anything (according to the HUD)

But ever since I installed the Bin patch the rear lights on multiple units don't work.

The bin patch thing is a known bug... is it an emergency brake that comes on? If so, end the activity and see what MSTS is saying as to why you got the application.

The brake guages on the Desiro aren't that good, but it seems too slow for an EBA (Emergancy Barke Application).

I have had the HUD up when I started again and it didn't say anything about emergancy brakes, but then I can't release the brakes instantly like I couldn't if I had an EBA.

So basically, it dosen't stop like it's an EBA but once it's stopped it is as if it's an EBA

What version of the Bin patch are you using? A lot of people are sticking with 1.6 as 1.7 (latest) has been reported as unstable by a number of people.

I've tried it with both, and it is an EBA according to the evaluation.

Also, the motors die away at about 20 mph (rather than 30mph) and then the brakes come on. And once I've stopped the track monitor says i'm going 8mph (backwards)

I've even tried leaving the train exactly as MSTS leaves it (no lights, brakes at 40%, neutral reverser etc) before I change ends (without loading/unloading).

Have you tried saving the activity just after changing ends and then resuming from the save? I have heard that that works sometimes.
